It is able to cover up spots but it doesn’t have the ability to cure some uneven spots and dents on the surface of the metal. What you must remember is that when painting your car with high temperature paint, you don’t need to apply a primer. This is because the high temperature of the paint won’t blend evenly and smoothly with the primer. In fact the blend can have a tendency to produce clotted mixture where the primer can stick up to the higher heat range paint spots itself. High temperature paints can go from 1200 F up to 1800 F. Some colors available for high temperature paints are basic colors such as black, stainless steel, bright aluminum and cast iron gray. Those who want to use black color for the paint job will be assured to have rich velvety finish with their paint job that can last up to 1200 F.
